Medical Causes for the Certification of Death (MCCD)

This research study was conducted at the St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bangalore. The objectives of the project were to study EDC systems for use in a large tertiary-care hospital setting for coding of the causes of death in a standardized form for preparing certification for deaths that occur in the hospital environment, and to educate doctors and healthcare professionals to use standardized coding for describing causes of death.
