Handsrel @ International Conference on E-Governance (ICEG) 2010

ICEG is a yearly  international event  which  provides a platform for discussing various approaches for efficient E-Governance, and Handsrel was  one of the  Platinum Sponsors of ICEG-2010, the Seventh International Conference on E-Governance held at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India from April 22 to 24, 2010.

Shashank Garg (CEO, Handsrel)  and Dr. Bala Brahmanandam Madaparthi (CTO & CEO - Handsrel, Canada) were key members of the Organizing Committee  and the Programme Committee. Shashank was also the Organizing Secretary of the Conference.

Since the main theme of the conference was on "Public Health & ICT", Handsrel played an important part in conducting the deliberations and show-cased its products and technologies for Electronic Data Capture at the event. Our team members demonstrated real-time offline and online data capture applications for mobile devices such as mobile phones and wireless tablets at this event.

Mr. Raghu K Mittal (Project Lead, Handsrel) presented a paper titled "R: An Open Source Alternative for Statistical Research in Public Health". This was based on work done at HANDSREL to extend our electronic data capture platform to incorporate statistical analysis tools for application in the public health and other domains.
