Handsrel releases a library to the open-source community

Handsrel has developed a library called gwt-localstorage-db for using a database type of storage schema on top of simple local storage. This is an important component for our mCollect for Android and has also been contributed to the open-source community under the Apache License 2.0 and hosted on Google Project Hosting.

A new milestone achieved in mCollect deployment!

Handsrel has recently achieved a unique distinction of participating in a pilot project for enumeration of minor irrigation schemes in Rajasthan, a state in north-west India where Handsrel's mCollect software was used for field data collection using Android smart-phones. Over 1.13 million records were collected successfully in a short period of 55 days with 800 data collectors, making it one of the largest deployments of electronic data collection using mobile phones.
